YGG Pilipinas has officially launched the Metaverse Filipino Worker (MFW) Caravan, a four-month nationwide roadshow aimed at equipping Filipinos with digital skills and new earning opportunities.
At the press conference, Phee Tejada, Business Development Lead at YGG Pilipinas, formally introduced the initiative while Country Head Mench Dizon, together with Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Director Emmy Lou Delfin delivered remarks on the importance of digital literacy and collaboration.
Highlights from the Press Conference
The MFW Caravan will tour six cities across the Philippines from April to August 2025, bringing hands-on workshops, industry talks, and career-building sessions.
The launch event also featured panel discussions covering critical topics, including:
- Moms in the Metaverse – leveraging digital platforms for flexible careers.
- Learn and Earn Anywhere, Anytime – discussing blockchain-based career opportunities.
- Infrastructure for Access and Inclusion – emphasizing connectivity, financial access, and blockchain adoption.
Mench Dizon highlighted YGG Pilipinas’ mission to onboard more Filipinos into emerging technologies and equip them with the skills needed to succeed in the digital industry.
- She emphasized that the Metaverse Filipino Worker film showcases how the initiative can provide opportunities for Filipinos to build sustainable careers in the metaverse—allowing them to stay in the Philippines instead of seeking work abroad.
“Their stories of resilience and success show that the future of work isn’t just coming—it’s already here. And the best part is that they can do it all from home, right here in the Philippines.”

Phee Tejada, Business Development Lead at YGG Pilipinas, introduced the MFW Caravan as a structured initiative designed to guide Filipinos toward digital career opportunities.
- He emphasized the program’s three key areas: learning, career organization, and community growth.
- Through workshops and mentorship, participants will be equipped with essential skills, allowing them to explore various career tracks based on their interests.
- Tejada also said the caravan will also connect individuals with community-led groups through the Metaverse Filipino Alliance, which currently has 61 guild and community partners.
- These groups aim to help members learn, earn, and succeed together while engaging with different questing platforms such as the Guild Advancement Program.
DICT also expressed support for the initiative, emphasizing the importance of upskilling Filipinos in emerging technologies.
“Digital careers present significant earning potential. The Philippines’ young, tech-savvy and English-profession population is uniquely positioned to seize substantial share of this market.”
Emmy Lou Delfin, Director, DICT
Delfin also emphasized how initiatives like the MFW Caravan can ensure that Filipinos can fully participate in the global digital economy.
“By expanding awareness and opening more pathways to these opportunities, we are laying the foundation for a more inclusive and resilient digital workforce in the Philippines.”
